Poppy Studio Design was founded by Mimi Ramos, whose nearly two decades in real estate taught her something unexpected: the best homes aren't about square footage or finishes; they're about feeling.

Walking through hundreds of properties over 18 years, Mimi found herself captivated by spaces with character. Homes that mixed eras, embraced imperfection, and told stories through their details. She began imagining how the right blend of old and new could transform not just how a room looked, but how it felt to be in it.

Her parallel work in packaging design and product development at Harney & Sons refined her eye for color, texture, and visual balance, while running her own boutique (Camp BTQ) deepened her understanding of curation and merchandising.

Today, Mimi brings all of that experience to clients who want spaces that feel collected over time, never decorated overnight. From intimate styling projects to complete interior transformations, her work is rooted in warmth, texture, and the belief that great design is as much about feeling as it is about form.

She's reimagined a beloved local diner, designed a home dog spa, completed a Madison Avenue apartment, and styled countless spaces for friends and family. What unites every project? The conviction that creativity and imagination matter more than renovation budgets; and that the most profound transformations often happen without changing a single wall.
